At Atkin Grant & Lang, we operate up to 16 multi-trap stands daily — all equipped with the Promatic Claymate pay-and-play automatic release system. Whether you’re here to practise or just enjoy a day on the ground, you’ll find a wide variety of targets to suit every level of experience.
Our qualified instructors also have access to a dedicated series of independent, adjustable tuition traps, ideal for focused, one-to-one coaching.
From simple "going away" and "incoming" targets in our dedicated beginner zone, to more advanced challenges like driven grouse, springing teal, high crossers, bolting rabbits, and ultra-long loopers — we cater to all levels, from first-timers to seasoned competitors and game enthusiasts.
Each stand typically offers at least two different targets, with some stands featuring up to four. We regularly rotate trap positions, speeds, and angles to keep the experience fresh and rewarding.
Many of our targets carry a colour-coded difficulty rating assigned by our instructor team:
Check the stand information boards to choose targets suited to your skill level — or to challenge yourself with something new.
Shooting alone? The Claymate system includes a three-second solo shooter delay, giving you time to prepare before each target is launched. A sequence of audible beeps confirms your command and cues the target release, making solo practice smooth and stress-free.
We regularly host themed open events, including:
Driven Grouse Challenge
Clay Snooker
Extreme Crossers
Club Handicap Competitions
These fun and competitive days are open to all and a great way to test your skills in a lively, social setting.
